Your village in Langford.

Haven's first villages open in Ontario in fall 2026. Langford is on the British Columbia list that follows — join the waitlist and your neighbourhood moves up the order.

A Haven village for a Langford neighbourhood.

Where do you find a mom group in Langford?

Start with Island Health's public-health drop-ins on the West Shore, the Langford library's baby and toddler storytime, and West Shore Parks & Recreation's parent-and-tot programmes. All are free and organised by catchment, so everyone there lives nearby.

Haven adds verified neighbourhood villages across Westhills, Bear Mountain, Happy Valley, Goldstream, Luxton and the wider West Shore — opening in fall 2026 once Haven reaches British Columbia.

What's already available in Langford

  • Island Health public-health units — postpartum drop-ins, feeding support and new-parent groups, free and staffed by nurses.
  • Greater Victoria Public Library, Langford branch — baby and toddler storytime, weekly and free.
  • West Shore Parks & Recreation — parent-and-tot swimming, gym time and classes.
  • Neighbourhood and family centres — drop-ins across the West Shore, often with childminding.

These are the first places to try, and none of them require an app.

Why Langford, for the beta

Langford has grown faster than almost anywhere else in the province. That means a high proportion of families who moved in recently, do not have relatives nearby, and have not yet built a local network — which is exactly the gap Haven is built to close. It is also compact and walkable enough that help can genuinely arrive on foot.

Neighbourhoods opening first

Villages are being formed around Westhills, Bear Mountain, Happy Valley, Goldstream, Luxton and the wider West Shore. Each village has a name, a neighbourhood, guidelines its members agreed to, and admins who moderate.

Questions

Good to know.

Are there mom groups in Langford?

Yes — Island Health runs public-health drop-ins across the West Shore, and the Langford branch of the Greater Victoria Public Library plus the West Shore Parks & Recreation centre both run free parent-and-tot programmes. Haven adds small, verified neighbourhood villages, opening here after the Ontario beta.

When does Haven launch in Langford?

Haven's beta opens in Ontario in fall 2026, and Langford is one of the two first communities alongside Victoria. Joining the waitlist reserves your place in the founding cohort.

How much does it cost to join?

Nothing. Building and joining a village, messaging, events, Request Help and Lend a Hand are all free and will stay free. The Wellness Hub is an optional subscription at $24.99 CAD per month with free preview content.

What if my neighbourhood in Langford has no village yet?

You can create one. Any verified member can start a village for their neighbourhood, name it, set its guidelines and invite the people already nearby.
