Community Guidelines

Be kind. Support each other. Keep it local.

Haven only works if it feels safe to be honest. These are the standards every member agrees to when they join, and what happens when someone does not meet them.

Last updated: 22 August 2026

The four things we ask

Every village on Haven sets its own guidelines on top of these, but all of them start here.

Not allowed, anywhere on Haven

Advice, and its limits

Members share experience all the time, and that is much of the value of a village. But experience is not diagnosis. Please do not tell another member what is wrong with their child, or what they should stop taking. Point them towards a professional, and stay with them while they get there.

Reporting a concern

Any post, message or member can be reported from within the app in two taps. You can also email support@haven-village.com at any time.

Reports are reviewed by the Haven team. Patterns of concerning feedback are taken seriously and may result in removal from the platform. Village admins moderate their own villages against the guidelines their members agreed to.

In any situation involving immediate life-threatening risk, contact emergency services first. Call 911. For urgent mental-health support anywhere in Canada, call or text 988, the Suicide Crisis Helpline. Haven surfaces these resources — it is not itself a crisis service.

Changes

Haven is pre-launch and these guidelines will develop as our first villages open in Ontario. Material changes will be announced in the app, and this page will always show the date it was last updated.
