What is Haven? Is Haven free to use?

Haven — A Mother's Village is a digital community and information platform where help is only a message away. Joining Haven and taking part in your village is free and will stay free. The Wellness Hub is a separate optional subscription at $24.99 CAD per month, with free preview content.

Who can join Haven?

We welcome all community members. Haven is open to anyone who wants to offer or receive support in parenthood or caregiving — parents, caregivers, grandparents, students who want to volunteer time, local community members, and businesses who want to share resources.

How is Haven different from Facebook groups or other apps?

Haven focuses on small trusted villages your family can build within a local and digital community. Every member and every business providing resources is verified before joining, and there is no advertising and no algorithmic feed.

What can I do inside the app?

Free features include building and joining villages, messaging villagers, creating events and local meet-ups, Lend a Hand and Request Help, the Haven Kindness Puzzle Challenge, parent and caregiver resources, and emergency hotlines.

What is the Wellness Hub?

An optional subscription giving affordable access to resources and services, built on three pillars: Body, Mind and Connection.

When will Haven be launching, and where?

The first villages open in Ontario in fall 2026. Join the waitlist and tell us where you are — it helps decide which Canadian community opens next.

How are members verified?

Before being accepted, every member provides verified contact information. We use encryption, authentication and secure data-storage practices to protect personal information.

Is my information safe on Haven?

We follow Canadian legal protocols including PIPEDA, we do not sell your personal information, and there is no advertising. No online platform can guarantee complete security, but we will do our best to mitigate the risks.

How do I report a concern?

Report anything within villages to support@haven-village.com. Patterns of concerning feedback are reviewed by the Haven team and may result in removal from the platform. In any situation involving immediate life-threatening risk, contact emergency services first.

Does it cost anything to start a village?

No. Creating a village, joining one, messaging, events, Request Help and Lend a Hand are all free.
