Accessibility Statement

What we are aiming for

We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Haven App Inc. is a Canadian company, and we intend to meet our obligations under the Accessible Canada Act and applicable provincial legislation as we grow.

What this website does today

• A “skip to content” link as the first item for keyboard users.
• Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus outline on every interactive element.
• Semantic headings in order, landmark regions, and labels on every form field.
• Descriptive alternative text on images; decorative images hidden from screen readers.
• Touch targets sized for one-handed use on a phone.
• Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling from 320px upwards.
• Full support for reduced motion. If your device asks for less animation, the moving backgrounds, floating elements and scroll effects are switched off and everything renders plainly.

Where we know we fall short

We would rather tell you than claim perfection:

• This site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, or tested end-to-end with people who use assistive technology daily. Both are planned before public launch.
• Some decorative photography carries brand text within the image itself.
• The Haven app is still in development; its accessibility will be assessed separately before the beta opens.

If any part of this site or the app is difficult to use, please email support@haven-village.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use if you are comfortable sharing it.

We aim to respond within five working days, and we will tell you honestly whether something can be fixed quickly or needs to go on the roadmap.
